Welcome to Bullrun Bulldogge Ranch. We are a family-owned farm/ranch and kennel originally established in 1987. We love healthy, hardy Olde English Bulldogges and have kept this type for over 20 years. We have always felt that genetic health is absolutely essential for the future of the breed.

Mr. David Leavitt founded the Olde English Bulldogge breed and tried to use x-rayed, professionally screened stock with pump handle tails. Those are standards that we believe in and are striving to adhere to.

We became involved with the breed very early on in its existence and have quite a history. Our first experience with the OEB was in 1987 when we started a breeding program with one of our original farm utility bulldogs, a foundation Leavitt original Olde Bulldogge and a Dogue de Bordeaux. This was the start of our line of “farm duty” Bulldogges that we registered with the Animal Research Foundation in Quinlan, Texas as the “Mountain Bulldog” in late December 1987.

From the beginning our intent has been to breed for soundness and survivability first while maintaining “bully” looks and the confirmation of the Olde English Bulldogge Standard. We have been very patient in building a sound “Bully” foundation.

The original recreated Olde Bulldogge contained about 1/6 American Bulldog but had similar drives, moderate size and a friendly disposition. We are producing dogs of this style with a breeding concept very similar to our original.

We have also been working on our “alternative” non-Leavitt line and our patience and determination is paying off. To build credibility and maintain integrity we have invested a huge amount of time and expense to establish foundation stock that has been x-rayed, and certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. We are proud to be the first OEB breeder in the world to have done this.

After maintaining our farm duty Bulldogge concept as a hobby for over 20 years, we have decided to start a website and advertise. This will help us to continue our breeding program while simultaneously providing improved stock. Our Bulldogges have a most noble appearance that is an awesome sight to behold. Their soundness and athleticism is second to none. They have a wonderfully peaceful but naturally protective temperament, are exceptional with kids and make fine family pets. Because of their size and strength, basic training is essential.

I believe our track record proves that we are Olde English Bulldogge breeders for the right reasons. Our main emphasis will always be quality not quantity. Please take a look for yourself.
